Beetle planter
Beetles for your plants! (Or to keep a watchful eye on your pencils!) Cast in Jesmonite, a non-toxic ceramic-like compound. Plants will be very happy in them :D I would recommend using them along with a plastic nursery pot though, as the pots do not have drainage holes. Indoor use only :) DO NOT USE AS DRINKING CUPS. Although Jesmonite is non-toxic, it hasn't been tested for food safety. External height: 8 cm / Internal height: 6.5 cm / Internal diameter: 6 cm colours might differ slightly as they are handmade to order :)

Octave the parakeet (2013)
The very first sculptures that started my business! Octave's parents were both opera singers, and they wanted him to follow in his footsteps. Octave however wants to become an entomologist, even though he spends more time eating the insects than studying them... Made from needle-felted wool, the body of these toys alone took around 10 hours to make. The face was hand sculpted from polymer clay, then hand painted with care.

Beetle Girl (2017)
The sculpture that started my obsession with beetles! When a Beetle Girl is born, it's very vulnerable and way too curious for its own good. Evolution has found a way to help with this behaviour: their colours match the plant on which the cocoon was placed, to act as a form of camouflage that protects it from harm when it's born (let's just hope they don't stray too far...). These are made from polyurethane resin. They're made from 3 different moulds: the horns, head and body are all separate, then put back together using strong glue and epoxy paste. Hand painted with care.
